There's Nobody Like Jesus

Today’s Verse:

For in that he himself hath suffered being tempted, he is able to succour them that are tempted. ~Hebrews 2:18

The longer we are saved and trust the Lord for everything in our life, the more we rest ourselves in the fact that there’s nobody like Jesus! Nobody cares for us like Jesus. Nobody loves us like Jesus. Nobody can help us like Jesus. The book of Hebrews was written to remind believers whose faith was under attack that there’s nobody like Jesus.

We see that Jesus is unique.

“Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high.” Jesus is God’s holy Son. He is God incarnate. Jesus is the effulgence of God’s glory. John said, “(And we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.” Jesus said, “He that hath seen me hath seen the Father.” He is all-powerful, is in all places at one time, and knows all things. He is the way, the truth, and the life. His shed blood and death on the cross purges us from all sin and paid our sin debt in full. He satisfied God’s demand for sin through His death and resurrection, and He is seated at the right hand of God. Truly, Jesus is unique.

We see that Jesus understands.

“For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin." Jesus understands our anxieties, burdens, and problems. He experienced the burdens, pain, and sorrow that we experience in this life, but He never sinned. He was tempted as we are, but without sin. He understands the pressure that we are under. He understands the hurt from being abused, criticized, misunderstood, or even, hated. He understands our sorrow. He understands our suffering. He understands our weaknesses. Yet, because He is perfect, just, and faithful, He has sympathy for us. You don’t have to stay discouraged: Jesus understands!

We see that Jesus undertakes.

“He is able to succour them that are tempted.” Jesus takes our burdens, cares, problems, and troubles. He beckons us to come boldly to the throne of grace to obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need. First, it is up to us to come to Him. Don’t believe the devil’s lie that He is unapproachable. Second, we should come to Him without reservation: come boldly. Third, when we come, there is mercy and an abundance of grace to help us in our time of need. His wonderful grace wraps its loving arms around us and keeps us from falling apart. You don’t have to languish in your difficulties: Jesus undertakes our every need.

We see that Jesus is unsurpassable.

“He is able”! He is able to save. He is able to sustain. He is able to see us through. He is able to comfort our hearts. He is able to bruise Satan under our feet. He is able to calm the storms in our life. He is able to answer our prayers. He is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think. He is able! Jesus is able because He is God! Jesus is able because He can do anything but fail. Jesus is unsurpassable in every way and beyond what we can comprehend. Have faith in His person, His power, and His performance. Experience today that there’s nobody like Jesus for your life!

Have a joyful God Morning!
